If you're looking for a church that has a beautiful sanctuary with stained glass windows and people adorned with the best of clothing, this may not be the church for you. This church is for God fearing people who are interested in the work of God. God's work is for the sick, the hungry, imprisoned. Our people are compelled to serve, rather than being served.
International Baptist Church is a ministry committed to helping people of every race and ethnic background achieve God's best for their lives, and will affirm every person who seeks spiritual growth for this or her life. Colonial Baptist Church is a sponsor of International Baptist Church. We need volunteers who can help sort clothes, make snack packs and help deliver items to the church. Contact Johnny & Nell Graves for more information.
Items needed:
Men's clothing - coats, shirts, pants, sweatshirts, jackets, underwear, caps, gloves.
We distribute approximately 50 care packages each week; items needed are:
quart-size zip-lock bags, toothbrush, comb (small, no handles), disposable razors, shampoo, men's deoderant, toothpaste, mouthwash, soap or body wash.
We distribute 70-100 snack bags each week; items needed are: Ready to eat individual items such as vienna sausages, peanut butter/cheese & crackers, candy bars, cookies, honey buns/oatmeal creme cakes, plastic shopping bags.
Items can be placed in the designated room in the two-story building or church office.
